I’ve made absolutely no secret of the fact that I am obsessed with anything interior and home decor related. I adore styling our home to make it a cosy, relaxing and welcoming space for visitors. Despite having spent the last 10 years in digital media, I regularly say that if I were to re-train, or, if I could choose my dream job it would likely be as an interior designer. As a result, you can only imagine my excitement when eBay reached out and asked if I’d like to collaborate with them to choose some items from their Home & Garden range to style up my home.
Our bathroom has recently been updated so I knew this was the room I wanted to focus on. As it’s not the biggest bathroom in the world, I tried to choose a mix of products that would work well in the space – some were functional, whilst others were really there just to add a decorative flair.
One of the first things I wanted to get was a new bathmat as these often act as a focal point of the room and can really cheer up an otherwise drab bathroom. I was delighted when browsing eBay’s bathroom category to find this gorgeous Sage & Clare Tula Nudie mat* and snapped it up immediately. The colours complement the pink feature wall we have in the room and just give it a bright and modern edge, whilst the rest of the room (tap ware etc) is quite traditional.
A bath isn’t a proper bath without a bath caddy to store your bath time essentials on – a candle, a book and of course a glass of wine. I chose this white bamboo caddy* from eBay’s Shower & Bath Accessories category to do the job in our bathroom and it’s been an absolute god send. It’s perfect for propping my phone up to watch something in the bath (do this at your own peril) and the simple white wood just blends in nicely with the rest of the bathroom.
I also picked up this beautiful round mirror* which I absolutely adore. I love that it’s frameless and the perfect size to use to get ready every morning.
eBay was never really my go-to source for homeware shopping, mainly because I didn’t really realise how much it had to offer in the Home & Garden space. The fact that everything is categorised so well was a huge help as it meant I wasn’t aimlessly searching for ages and was able to find what I wanted easily. If you’re looking to do some work on your home or garden from DIY or just simply accessorising it I’d highly recommend checking out eBay as your first point, as the prices are often much more reasonable than your mainstream stores.
What do you think of my bathroom glow up?
