September 1st marks the start of spring in Australia and I can’t wait. Whether Melbourne plays ball is a whole different story – this place has the most unpredictable weather, but I’m looking forward to wearing lighter layers and seeing the sunshine a bit more. Now that I start each month on my blog with a round up of my goals (except August (lols) because I’m just trying to keep my head above water at this point), I thought it would be cool to finish off the month with a round up of some of my favourite products. I used to do this all the time back in early TPWA days and it’s time for a resurgence.
I signed up to a 6 issue subscription of frankie Magazine a couple of months ago as I was finding myself increasingly drawn to the magazine whilst I waited for my morning coffee in my local cafe. It’s such a beautiful magazine inside and out – filled with fashion, art, design, travel, photography, music, craft and real life inspiration, It’s super relatable, honest and fun and it’s just a nice item to have lying around the house to flick through with morning breakfast or whilst waiting for the kettle to boil! It would have been years and years ago that I last had a magazine subscription (particularly unusual given I have a career in digital) – however I think this goes to show the quality of the magazine that I was prepared to make that commitment.

Next up, I’ve been completely obsessed with Bella Freud’s Signature EDP and haven’t worn another fragrance since I bought it. It’s the most stunning scent – intense notes of amber, earthy patchouli, tonka bean, vetiver and musk (some of my all time favourite smells) that work beautifully together to create this sophisticated and quite alluring fragrance. I also love the charming glass bottle with hand drawn dog logo. I adore Bella Freud’s designs (v. pricey) and will definitely be looking to try some of her other scents given that this one is such a winner.
Lastly, the real star of the month has been my discovery of the Korres Wild Rose Vitamin C Booster. I was looking to update my skincare recently and decided to give this a shot, and boy am I glad I took the risk – it’s heaven. It’s a potent 15% Super Vitamin C brightening booster that works to improve the appearance of first wrinkles, dark spots and dullness. It’s powered by pure Vitamin C combined with Wild Rose oil and works to reduce the signs of premature ageing (hello 32 year old face!) and fatigue. I honestly can’t rave enough about this product, it’s simply beautiful. It is such a pleasure to use this in my night time routine – the rose scent is stunning, and it’s really helped to leave my skin feeling clearer and more luminous.
What are you currently loving?
everything is just so cute 🙂
I am loving everything by Madara Cosmetics – have you heard of them? They are one of the Nordic brands, and so their ingredients include Nordic berries and birch tree water 🙂
I’d be really keen to try that booster by Korres!
I haven’t – sounds lovely though, will check them out 🙂 x
I haven’t tried that Korres booster but I adore their oil in that Wild Rose line xx

I hope the arrival of spring feels as good as letting go of the extreme heat that has been terrorizing the interior of my car lately :p
Have a wonderful weekend!
