Despite having been in Melbourne for only 6 months, I’m already on to round two of interior updates which just about sums up my obsession in this area. After completing each room in our house, I decided to refocus on our bedroom as this was the room that I was least happy with overall, and whilst there wasn’t too much about our bedroom that I didn’t like, I felt a few new soft furnishing updates and some art work were what were needed to make the room feel a little more elegant.
Our master bedroom is a really great room. It’s large so easily fits in a queen sized bed, bedside tables, dressing table and there’s still plenty of room to dance around. The room has an ensuite leading off one side, and a pinch-me-perfect walk in wardrobe on the other.
I chose these soft mint green bedside tables as I liked the subtle pop of colour they bring to the room, and believe it or not I really do keep mine this bare on top – I have a habit of hiding everything away in drawers! The lamps were an absolute bargain, only $20 each and are a really cute addition with their marble base and oversized bulbs.

At the wall facing the bed I have my pride and joy – my dressing table. This beauty has a blog post all of it’s own which you can read here, but it’s the perfect spot for me to get ready in the morning and I couldn’t love it any more. I love the wood frame of the hexagonal mirror and think it works really well with what is mostly quite a bright, white room.
What do you think of my bedroom update?
