T3 Featherweight Luxe 2i Hair Dryer

October 26, 2015 by alice 7 Comments

Having long hair means that blow drying can be quite the arduous task. Whilst I’ve come up with my own technique to dry my hair as fast as possible, it can still take up to 20 minutes at a time. T3 recently sent me their Featherweight Luxe 2i Hair Dryer* to try, and I gladly accepted in a bid to minimise the time spent getting ready in the morning, and maximise my time in bed.

The Featherweight Luxe 2i is designed (and clinically proven) to dry hair faster than regular dryers, whilst improving the health and appearance of the hair. How does it do it? It uses advanced SoftAire Technology which generates a greater volume of air and weaves it through the dryer at the ideal heat and speed. It uses ion-enriched air which exits the dryer in a wide cone shape – enabling larger sections of hair to dry quickly, and more healthily.

I’ve been using the hair dryer on and off for the last few weeks, comparing it to my regular hair dryer to see how it matches up. My regular hair dryer takes roughly 15-18 minutes to dry my hair. When I timed myself using the T3 Featherweight, it took 10 minutes – showing that this hair dryer can cut my usual dry time down by a very welcome 5-8 minutes. One of the things I liked most about the hair dryer was that even at it’s hottest setting the air isn’t as hot as conventional hair dryers – yet it still manages to dry the hair faster. Another plus point is that the hair dryer is very light, not quite featherweight (sadly), but definitely light enough to comfortably use for a stretch of time.

The Featherweight Luxe comes with 2 speed settings, and 3 heat settings, including a cool shot – which is good to use at the end to help lock in styles for a smooth, sleek finish. Naturally, a product that is kinder to the hair, and dries it faster is going to end up with a higher price tag – the Featherweight Luxe 2i retails for £195. Personally, I do think this is rather over priced, particularly as the ghd Air Hair Dryer costs only £99. I do rate this product, but equally recognise that this is a lot of money to spend.

The T3 Featherweight Luxe 2i Hair Dryer can be purchased here.

Would you pay £195 for a hair dryer?

It genuinely sounds amazing but I really don't have a spare £200 around!

This sounds like an interesting product! I'm not in the market for a new hairdryer because my hair is pretty short so it doesn't take too long to dry anyway. However, if I still had long hair, I'd definitely think about it! 🙂 xx

Sounds like something that would definitely be a good thing to have, but I don't think I would spend £200 on a hair dryer, I think I could probably deal with waking up a few minutes earlier to dry my hair.

I like the fact it dries your hair very quickly if it lasted a long time it would be worth the money!

That´s quite a heavy price for a hair dryer. I don´t think I could buy this with a good conscience even though it might be a really good product. It costs like half of the money I live on in a whole month.

It took me ages too to dry my hair when I had it long (now, it's much quicker!). This air drier is quite an investment but I think it's worth it if you have long locks. Xx

I wouldn't personally pay nearly £200 for a hair dryer but I would welcome one that dries my hair faster as my arm does start to ache after a while x
