Pestle & Mortar Pure Hyaluronic Serum

September 4, 2015 by alice 7 Comments

Skincare is probably one of the product types I get sent most often to review. As a result, I have lots to try and as I like to test the products for a minimum 4 week period, it can leave quite the queue of products in my wake. With that being said, a little while ago I received this simple, but elegantly packaged bottle of Pestle & Mortar Pure Hyaluronic Serum*.

By way of background, Pestle & Mortar are an innovative beauty and wellness company. They were born out of the desire to create top quality, skin enhancing and affordable products that have great results on the skin. They also pride themselves on providing solutions for all skin types and ethnicities.

Pestle & Mortar’s Pure Hyaluronic Serum contains hyaluronic acid, which is proven to hydrate and soothe the skin, and importantly for me, is 100% suitable for sensitive skin. It’s claims include restoring the skin’s elasticity, as well as smoothing out the appearance of fine lines.

I don’t know about you, but I’m not particularly au fait with Hyaluronic Acid, so I did a little research. Hyaluronic Acid can be found naturally in almost every cell in the body, although it is found in the greatest concentrations in the skin tissue (50%). Young skin is smooth and elastic and therefore contains large amounts of Hyaluronic Acid that helps the skin to stay young and healthy. The Hyaluronic Acid provides continuous moisture to the skin by binding up to 1,000 times it’s weight, however with age, the skin’s ability to produce this acid decreases.

This serum has a lightweight, fragrance free gel-like formula. It soaks into the skin incredibly quickly, helping to leave it feeling soft and smooth after use. I didn’t notice huge changes in fine lines, although I’m thankful not to have too many so far – however I did notice a lovely improvement in the overall radiance of my skin, I felt like I woke up looking like I had a glow and my skin felt plump and hydrated. I could imagine this being a little bottle of heaven on a long-haul flight, as you can really tell an instant difference when applied to the skin.

Pestle & Mortar’s Pure Hyaluronic Serum retails for £33 for 30ml and can be purchased from www.pestleandmortarcosmetics.com.

This sounds incredible, even more so if it's suitable for sensitive skin!

Pretty much all my favourite skincare products seem to have Hyaluronic Acid in them. I've never heard of this brand before but I love the simple packaging.

I have never heard of Pestle and Mortar before but this sounds like a product that would work for me. I love serums that respect my sensitive skin and keep it souple and hydrated. Trying skincare for a few weeks is a must to notice if a product really works but it also nice when you can see the difference straight away! xx
