One of my favourite things about living in Maida Vale, is that we're only a 15 minute walk to Portobello Road, one of the loveliest areas in London. It's one of London's most famous streets and people flock there each week to hunt for antiques, eat delicious street food and gaze at row after row of pretty pastel houses.

We headed over to Portobello House for a pit stop before meandering around London - filling our tummies with delicious poached eggs and thick layers of fresh smoked salmon, prosciutto bruschetta and chicken croquettes.

I've been obsessing over bardot style tops a lot recently, having added about 5 to my collection in the last week. I think they're such a beautiful, feminine style to wear and this gorgeous cornflower version from Misguided is a particular favourite.

My favourite bag of the moment is this lovely faux leather backpack from Matalan which I think looks much more expensive than it actually is. It's the perfect size for walking around London - plenty of room for the essentials, but not too large that it over powers an outfit.

After brunch, and a few hours strolling around West London, we headed back for a snooze...

What did you get up to this weekend?
